Najnoviji R80V2 su nasljednici  PreSonusovih popularnih prethodnika R80. To su  svestrani studijski monitori s kontrolama podešavanja akustike prostora. Sastoje se od proslavljenog AMT ribbona – 6,8-inčnog visokotonca vlastite proizvodnje koji reagira na najsuptilnije ulazne signale i glatko reproducira najviše frekvencije. Za duboko i srednje frekvencijsko područje su zaduženi 8-inčni LF drajveri s transparentnim zvukom i snažnim basovima.  R80V2 pokreće Biamp pojačalo u D klasi sa ‘switching’ napajanjem i ima snagu od 140 vata RMS-a (LF = 75 W, HF = 65 W).  Kontrole akustičkog podešavanja (s funkcijama Low cut, Mid, High, Acoustic space) kompenziraju akustiku prostorije i mjesto gdje su postavljeni. Sa superiornim odzivom tranzijenata i iznimno niskom razinom izobličenja, R80V2 su savršeni monitori za srednje-veće režije u svakom tonskom studiju.
